RESTORE 04:36
Took a trip out to the sea To get away for once From all the noise consuming me That's taking me enough I'm drained up from this energy Losing moral from my soul As everything's been fading Slowly turning into dust Restore my first love Take me where I'm from Consume me from within Oh, restore my first love Took a walk out to the beach Reflecting who I am Rethinking my priorities The rock on which I stand I'm drowning in this mental state As I'm tossed out in the wind Distracted by the inner voice Telling me to stay the same Restore my first love Take me where I'm from Consume me from within Oh, restore my first love Restore my first love Take me where I'm from Consume me from within Oh, restore Restore my first love Take me where I'm from Consume me from within Oh, restore my first love

EMPTY 03:03
I poured my heart into a scam, fraud Shutting out the voice in me Consumed myself with what feels good inside Intaking toxins killing me But I'm empty so empty Can't satisfy my inner needs So empty so empty Can't fill the void inside of me So empty so empty Can't fill the void inside of me So empty so empty I gave my all to you my darling dear Just to feel loved once again But as other guys came down into your trap You left me out into the trash Still I'm empty so empty Can't satisfy my inner needs So empty so empty Can't fill the void inside of me So empty so empty Can't satisfy my inner needs So empty so empty Can't fill the void inside of me I'm empty so empty Can't fill the void inside of me So empty so empty

REALITY 03:28
Lonely nights in closed off rooms Desire slips in like a fume Reflecting figures from my past Tempting me to bend relapse Oh, is the mess I made before my reality Oh, is the mess I done before my reality Having everything I've urged for but never freed Oh, is the mess I made before my identity I'm heading towards the tide of change Healing through these olden days So why these voices leave me split Between this sin and losing it Oh, is the mess I made before my reality Oh, is the mess I done before my reality Having everything I've urged for but never freed Oh, is the mess I made before my identity So take it all, take it all from me The inner things, the inner crave I bleed Take it all, Take it all from me The filth inside, the images I see So take it all, take it all from me The inner things, the inner crave I bleed Take it all, Take it all from me The filth inside, the images I see So take it all, take it all from me The inner things, the inner crave I bleed Take it all, Take it all from me The filth inside, the images I see So take it all, take it all from me The inner things, the inner crave I bleed Take it all, Take it all from me The filth inside, the images I see I know you washed this all away The sacrifice the price you paid So why'd I tend to still forget This act of grace upon my sin Cause the mess I made before ain't reality All the mess I've done before Yes, I've been freed Everything I needed longed for you've given me And oh the mess I made ain't my identity

about

As “CYCLES OF CHANGE” is nearing its first anniversary, I find it profound how the themes from each song have been a recurring topic in my life. It’s one thing to say that you’re changing for the better, but to live it out is a completely different act in itself. Reflecting on these themes, I realized that there are still some areas that I need to let go of. Things that I can’t do alone where I’m depending on God to help me along.

Initially (except for “REALITY”), I thought these songs featured on “SUMMER OF CHANGE” were just some B-sides, however, I feel that they reflect the current state that I’m going through at the moment. These songs describe the struggles between remembering the freedom I have through Jesus, forgetting the addictions of my past, and figuring out where my identity is overall. Similar to the note that I left before releasing “CYCLES OF CHANGE,” all these songs are just me sharing what I’ve learned, but I still hope that these songs continue to expand upon the ideas left from that album.

As this era is slowly coming to an end within the next year, I am blown away by the kind words towards the album. I find that each individual that I encounter has their own story of what the album means to them. In turn, these words left me to further reflect upon my work. Though I may not be able to fully reciprocate how I feel, please know that it means a lot that people care.

Concerning what’s next (other than celebrating the fifth anniversary of “Growing Up” or the various other projects that I’m involved in), expect nothing. Every era has been slightly different from the last, and I don’t expect that model to change in the future. That being said, I would like to thank you for hearing me out with these songs and connecting with them. I’m looking forward to what God has ahead in the future, and I hope to bring you along on that journey.

I love you all dearly, and I'll always keep you in my prayers. - Isaiah
